Shows take longer to be aired in Canada?

Is it me, or are a lot of series taking a week or 2 weeks to air in Canada?
For example - Supernatural is at least a week..maybe even 2 weeks behind.

Any one else in Canada noticing this?

Then check your other channels. Supernatural airs the same day as it does to the south.

At least I think it does. "the end" airs tonight. tv.com shows it as airing tonight in the us as well.

I know "space" was behind on showing this show. Hence I'm watching on the regular networks.

it varies, i remember some people complained that Doctor Who aired in Canda like a few months before the US, so it just depends on the show.

The answer is yes and no. I get supernatural on the CW network the exact same time as US veiwers. Some shows get time shifted and I have watched them earlier(I used to love giving spoilers on Lost season finales). If supernatural airs on a canadian chanel then it is on a different night so it is behind. South Park for example will be on Comedy Central Wednesday night, but we won't get it in Canada until Friday (hopefully)

Re : Shows take longer to be aired in Canada?

Typically, the Canadian broadcasting companies either show it at the same time, so they can overwrite the American signals and collect more ads money (i.e. Global/CTV) or they get the programming at a discount price by airing it later...
