MPAA after analog hole again

Movie studios again demand HDTV disabling powers from FCC - Ars Technica

Curious to see what they do with devices like the HDFury.

Anyone pissed should annoy they're representatives.

Re: MPAA after analog hole again

I'm buying an HDFury today. I don't need it (yet) but want to have it in case it ever goes off the market.

One of the concerns I've always had is that the hdcp codes in the COMPLETELY LEGAL HDfury could get blocked out in the future, probably with no required justification. Either way, I am very interested in how it works out for you.

I know it could continue on as a cat & mouse game. But I'm pretty sure they'll go after the maker before they spend $ figuring out how to block the HDFury2. That's my guess anyway.

You probably already saw this, but there was a guest post on GeekTonic about using the HDFury2 with the Haupppauge HD-PVR. That's what pushed me over the edge on buying one. That and my never ending need to collect gadgets I don't really need
