But you gotta admit... the competition is pretty tough lately. There's been a lot of good tv on for the last couple of years.

Apparently Dollhouse is on the rocks for rates despite the heavy advertising it gets. I wonder if it'll end up like Firefly.

I understand that a plan is in motion to do theater movie of BSG using the same cast with a bigger budget and 2 hours long.

Ok, back on topic. Not as impressed with second episode of Dollhouse, we'll see.

But BSG, my god, did they do an about face. Here it looked like Ellen was all cool and composed when dealing with Cavil, then she gets with Tigh and all of a sudden turns back into a flake. And what's the deal with Caprica 6? Didn't she once snap a baby's head, now she's an emotional mess, in fact all the cylons look like their suicidal and defenseless. Tori's the only one with a pair.

Not sure about the direction their going, we just went from 3 cylon babies back to 1. Looks like somethings up with Sam, so that's good. Also looks like next week we might see what Starbuck is. Either way, this episode was a bit disappointing, Tigh seemed to come out the best. I love the belt sander joke.

And Baltar, when did he become the special needs guy? And why in the hell would Adama give him automatic weapons? Who the hell writes this stuff? At least Head 6 is back. Then again, she had Baltar talk Adama into a nuke once.

With the baby alive, the rebel cylons had a possible solution to the lack of ressurection. They no longer needed humans so they could just bugger off and hide from the other Cylons and continue on.

With it dead but Hera still around I think they might look at hybrids as the only sure solution and thus need to stay with the fleet to ensure their survival.

Caprica's been 'broken' by the torture she went through then falling in love with Tigh. She's not the cylon she used to be though with the baby dead I think we are going to see a darker side of her again.

Re: Baltar
From the first episode they've shown Baltar having a flare of being able to talk himself out of nearly anything. Or into in some cases. The more he listens to his inner-6 the more successful he is at doing things. Without her, he fails.

Why did Adama give him guns? Because he knows Baltar has followers and knows how to deal with the guy and what to expect. It's the 'devil you know' deal. Face the lawlessness that remains from the mutiny or do it by proxy.

I've a feeling that Ellen knows what Starbuck is. I've little doubt she is fully human but she might be the first 'human' to undergo ressurection. This leads to the possibility of ressurrection technology still existing as well as some agents out there must have assisted the cloned Starbuck to get back to the fleet. Maybe Earth had survivors beyond the five.

Good points, additional thoughts:

Baby(Ellen): was she trying to cause the miscarriage to point them at the solution Tigh blurted out but with subtlety? Is she flaky by design or an act?

Caprica: Wasn't she torturing Tigh or is he just that badass? (picture the sheriff from Blazing Saddles, Cleavon Liddle with the temptress Madeline Kahn)

Now I'm stuck on that quote from History of the world - The servant must wait while the master bathes.

Baltar - The one thing he has going is the scene in the miniseries where he is given the chance to steal the old lady's number, and when confronted (like fate wanted him to do it) he chickened out or had a morality fit. Then Helo recognizes him and gives him his seat, as if Baltar has no choice but to follow his path, either from temptation or fate...

Adama - did not work with Zarek, but then again Baltar is no Zarek. Still liked either Zarek or the Doc as the final cylon...

Ellen is a flaky, psychopathic, manipulative, alcoholic [expletive redacted] who tries to control everyone around here, because she can't control herself. John (the Cavil series) is crazy because he's her child. Of all the Cylons, he's most like her.

Haven't you noticed that the 6's grew a conscience? As soon as they did, they become a completely different person. They will never be able to go back to being the hardcore bad-asses they were, because now they care.

Tori's the only one with a pair.

Tory's (Tori? I'm not sure which) is almost as crazy as Ellen. The only difference between her and Ellen is that Tor{i|y} is a cold-blooded killer, completely capable of acting without remorse, where Ellen is so codependent that she could never actually do something like airlocking Callie. Ellen would have been sneaky and manipulative, either seducing or blackmailing Callie in to keeping quiet.

I think we've seen that Cylons can only reproduce with humans, not with other Cylons. We already know Ellen is barren. I guess Galen could frack Tor{i|y}, and we could see if she can carry a baby to term.

I like Sam. He and Helo are the only 2 guys that have never backed down from what's right, no matter what.

I had the same thought with Baltar, not that he's the missing 7, but maybe they implanted what was left of him in his head. Maybe the inner battle with him is the battle between Daniel and the original Baltar?

Another thing, it seems like pure cylon babies are psychic, maybe that's why they fail, self destruct?

Was it just me, or was Friday's episode another lamer? I'm getting a more ominous feeling that the series finale will be a major depressing ordeal, I am beginning to dread it.

It's like they took the old dog out back to shoot it but decided to use a nut cracker on all its legs first before killing it.

Honestly, out of the 7 episodes aired so far the only one I liked was the ending of the mutiny.

I'll watch the final 4 hours (3 episodes) because I've invested so much time but instead of watching it live with the commericals, I tend to forget about it and finally get around to watching on Sunday afternoon.

About halfway through the show, I thought "the piano player is Daniel, the missing #7..."

and at the end... I can't believe I totally didn't see that coming.

So... is her dad Daniel? Is she really the first cylon/human child? Is that why she was able to be resurrected when her viper crashed on Earth?

If so, where is the ship that resurrected her? Is there another Cylon group in hiding somewhere in the Sol system?

I liked the episode, but I didn't like yet another character going to the dark side. Come on... assault? Battery? Kidnapping? Springing a prisoner? Come on, Chief. You're better than that.

I was thinking Baltar might somehow be what was left of Daniel, but Starbuck as Daniel's child, makes a lot more sense. Then what the hell is Baltar?

And Cavil, is he going to attack now or use Hera to force the final 4 1/2 to rebuild resurrection? I also assume Hera would know she is being taken away. And what the hell about Apollo, where's he go?

At least they're finally killing Rosalyn, I liked her but its overdue.

I wish they would just air the last three all at once, get it over with.
