I actually like what Tigh's become as a character. Plus, considering he's 2000 yrs old and seems to age, there has to be some kind of regeneration. Maybe Anders and Saul die, hell maybe the other two as well, then a ship lands with all 5 (including Ellen) resurrected and with full memories? At least Saul gets his eye back (I like the joke the Doc pulled on him, open your eyes, eh your eye.

Also, didn't you get the feeling the nurse was thinking about killing 6's unborn baby? If Ellen comes back, won't that be an awkward 3some?

I think that baby will be a flashpoint between the rebel Cylons and the humans as well as a way for the rebels to get back together with the other Cylons because they don't need resurrection ships or the Humans at all.

As for Ellen, I think she's coming back. She was killed while they were within range of a resurrection ship meaning that she could have possibly regenerated. She might have even got back into the fleet and is hiding on a ship.

Ok, just wanted to comment for all those disappointed with the premiere for the last 10 episodes, looks like our action characters are starting to come back. Starbuck is looking her old self and having fun. Adama found his balls and Tigh is right there with him. It's going to get messy, but it is definitely entertaining. The biggest pain is having to wait a week between episodes.

I loved last week's episode.

The thing is, I'm a lover of strong characters and strong relationships. One of the things I loved about the original series was that the good guys were good guys, and the bad guys were so thoroughly evil.

That was one reason I was so excited by the end of last night's episode. We saw Adama and Tigh act like brothers - like the old days. We also saw Starbuck stop acting all sorry for herself and actually do something positive... and I was more glad than anything to see Lee rip that tie off and start acting like a soldier again, rather than playing politician.

My guess is that the Adamas kick some serious asteroids this week, and that we see what Colonial Warriors can really do when provoked. No more pussyfooting around; this is frakkin' WAR!

Friday's episode did redeem itself. It was nice to see Starbuck a bit more in charge as she has been a little nuts now for nearly the whole season and only got worse when she found her body.

I think Ron Moore is a sadist at heart. He's spent this whole series beating up his characters, seeing how low they will go. And supposedly, it's going to get a little bit worse before it gets better.

Something VERY good better be happening at the end to make up for all this feldercarb!

I actually doubt it will get any better. I think its going to be written as a true tragedy, all the heroes die, but take the enemy down with them. There will be some survivors, probably forced to regress to primitive life on some planet (new earth?), just enough to keep the species from dying out. Either they break the cyclon cycle or become part of it. Maybe a new 5 get chosen (there are rumors of a final scene with Baltar and 6 in what is now modern earth).

Either way, I assume everyone who dies dies a heroes death and remaining shows should get better now that the mood is set, and at least two massive battles (one to end the mutiny, assuming it ends and Gaeta is not in charge until the cylon battle, and then the final cylon battle with Cavil.

Note, if Gaeta stays in charge of Galactica (even if negotiated) until the end I will be pissed, I am really looking forward to him dying a painful death in one of the next two weeks (hopefully at the hands of his I guess ex-lover).

I keep hearing that you need to watch the webisodes "Face of the Enemy" to understand Gaeta. I watched them after last nights episodes, and I would have to agree.

The series has been redeemed for me. Only six to go and it looks good. The preview next week gives a glimpse of hope for the people, though knowing Moore it's not going to turn out all that nice.

I'm interested to see what the fall out of the mutiny will be and I'm glad that they didn't drag out Gaeta and Zerek's story as some trial thing. Shoot them and move on. Seems like they are keeping to Adama's word that he won't be kind at all to those that went against him during the uprising.

Oh and now there is no quarum (sp?) or at least they'll need to elect new leaders.

Theoretically, the people from each colony need to elect new representatives.. at least everyone except Adama's homeworld, since he's still alive.

However, I have a feeling that, considering how long the democratic process takes, there won't be time to elect new representatives before the end of this thing.

And I saw an Ellen (and hopefully Anders) resurrection coming. Her being a Cylon just wouldn't have made sense if she couldn't resurrect.

Speaking of which... we didn't get to see whether Anders lived or died.

And it looks like we saw a glimpse that the cylon ftl drives are too much for galactica and possibly the other ships and are tearing them apart. I wonder if we'll see them have to evacuate galactica and maybe relocate to the cylon base ship?

Did they actually upgrade the Galactica? I think what we're seeing is she is just starting to break up on her own, probably only has a few jumps/battles left, a foreshadowing that she will not last forever and the end is coming soon (say within 6 episodes).

Now, Ellen resurrects with a new model cylon, is she with the other cylons or on a special ship (cylon hub destroyed)? Is she talking to the cylons or humans? Why haven't the cylons built a new hub (have they?) Are they limited on resources? How big is their fleet (how much is left from the battle?) What about their home planet?

Would Tigh resurrect himself to get his eye back? Would he be young again (they do age)?

Hmm, now you mention it, it's not clear if they did or not. I rather assumed that since they tried to do the other ships they'd have done Galatica first? Either way, seems like the ships going to fall apart sooner or later as you say

I don't believe they did. I believe what you saw was a stress fracture caused by the ship not being in a star dock in the past couple of years plus going through battle after battle.
