Re: Cancelled shows and shows in danger

Noticed that Life on Mars was talking about the series finale, not season finale, series, did some digging and it looks like it too is getting cancelled at the end of the season. This reference is talking about it continuing online. I believe the British version made 2 seasons.

So Long Sam: Life On Mars Cancelled

Re: Cancelled shows and shows in danger

Yeah, the ending has been written.

I think it wasn't SF enough to appeal to SF fans, but too SF to appeal to the Starsky and Hutch crowd.

I haven't been watching it, mostly because I dont' care the least about cop shows. However, I'll probably watch teh finale to see how it gets wrapped up.

From what I understand, in the British version, the guy was in a coma, and he woke up by killing himself. I also understand that the American version won't be quite the same.

Re: Cancelled shows and shows in danger

The problem with Life on Mars is that it's the same every time.

Stuff happens. Sam shocked at sexism/racism. Hunt has a theory but he is wrong and Sam is always right. 10 minutes to end... oh Sam is right!

Your right about the british version. He was in a coma and when he died in the 70s he came back to current. He hated current so he killed himself to get back to the 70s.

Re: Cancelled shows and shows in danger

I'm guessing that Worst Week is also on the bubble. TVSeriesFinale reported that the lead actor has accepted the role on a new ABC series.
Kinda sucks because I had thought (even considering I haven't watched the episodes yet) Worst Week might be decent.

LOL, I can't help that the actor jumped to another series.

Re: Cancelled shows and shows in danger

Sweetness! I thought Friday Night Lights was toast especially since they first premiered this season on DTV months ago. But NBC has agreed to TWO more seasons of FNL!

Re: Cancelled shows and shows in danger

This was their SOP they stated last spring... they would first premier the season on cable and then air it on broadcast in Mid Season. At that time, I had to explain to the wife that she wouldn't be seeing her FNL until sometime in 2009! She'll be glad to hear that it's up for two more season, though her skepticism will just say "I'll believe it when I see it".

Actually the main actor was the most annoying thing about the show. I say replace him and the show will improve

Re: Cancelled shows and shows in danger

crud. Does that mean we won't find out why the T-1000 is trying to create a "good" version of SkyNet? :~(

Re: Cancelled shows and shows in danger

I just read a post on IO9 that mentioned (in passing) that this is NOT true. The post went on to link to a synopsis of the season finale which is also (apparently) false. I'll have to research this and find out what's actually going on with the show.

I hope that if the show DOES continue, we stop with the stupid Sarah-centric plot lines. She's just not that interesting. I'm much more interested in SkyNet, John Henry, and how John Connor grows up to be a leader.

Re: Cancelled shows and shows in danger

Possibly now my favorite show on tv...Reaper is apparently on the bubble for cancellation again. Second season only had 13 episode made...and no word on finishing the season.
