Re: Heroes Fall Finale

Have yet to watch it, but isn't it being called a season finale? Meaning we won't see it again until next fall.

Re: Heroes Fall Finale

Pretty good, I thought. Makes me think the next bunch of shows will be more focused on the bad heroes.

It was called the fall finale.

Re: Heroes Fall Finale

I enjoyed it for the most part. There seems to be some plot holes due to ending the season early but I did like Adam's fate. That was perfect. Also enough twists to keep you thinking about what exactly happened to certain people and who did them. I have a feeling Elle and Claire will meet again.

After the preview for Volume Three the screen had 2008 on it. Of course it could mean fall of 2008...

Any word yet on Heroes: Origins? Is that now tanked due to the strike?

Fears of a writers strike may have already contributed to a decision NBC made Wednesday to pull the highly anticipated spinoff miniseries of its hit "Heroes" from a midseason launch.

Re: Heroes Fall Finale

My wife and I really enjoyed this episode. Some folks thought they had Hiro spend too much time in ancient Japan and the show was getting off kilter, which I disagreed with BTW, but it's definitely on track now!

I wonder what happened to Peter's girlfriend? She had been left in the future with the virus running rampant, but now that future has been changed. So is she just still in the future, now changed, or did she get trapped in time limbo when her reality ceased to exist? That's probably too complicated a time travel issue for this show, but it's fun to think about.

Re: Heroes Fall Finale

Maybe I am in the minority, or maybe it was because I watched the show after Monday night football before going to bed (while fuming at Pats sneaking out the win). But I was not impressed with the final episode. I think the prior episodes were much better and the final episode's ending was too easy. Yes we have two major characters die (they said that on the commercial so I am not giving anything away), but they tried to accomplish too much in one episode and the way they handled the virus was lame.

Thumbs down from me.

I did like how they said 2008. So is that spring 08, summer 08, or fall 08? As soon as the writers strike is over, they can start taping new episodes immediately and get them on the air.

Re: Heroes Fall Finale

Well, no point in talking about this without mentioning spoilers, so if you haven't watched yet you are definitely in the wrong thread.

First off, the Maya thing was good, but Suresh is a real moron, he should never have gone back with the blood, or without calling Bob or one of the other. Now every death at the hands of Sylar are his fault. I do like the fact that Sylar is back and badder than ever. We've also got whoever's left of the old clan that caused the shooting to deal with.

Peter, please, someone start clubbing him in the head, he needs to get his act together, looking forward to another Peter/Sylar battle to the death next season.

Niki? what the hell was that, an afterthought? keep her and kill off the lame Monica, (is that her name?) I hate that she's supposed to be featured next season, hopefully she dies a gruesome death at Sylars hands.

I predict Maya eventually gets Sylar, it would be too cruel to have her die trying. Peter really needs to stay away from her. Peter will have to go hunting in the future for his girl, maybe with Hiro's help, she probably won't recognize him. I think Matt will get turned to the darkside with his powers, and I still want to see an Elle/Clair catfight.

I think the episode overall looked rushed to finish the season, I would really like if they recut the episode to the original way when the writers strike is over and release that as well to start off the next season (or at least put it on the dvd)

Re: Heroes Fall Finale

Zeta: I agree, rushed to finish is the way I would describe it. I thought what was done with the previous two episodes set up a nice finale that did not occur.

Niki was definitely an after thought. I think other than the hotness factor, they did not know what to do with her anymore. So they killed her.

The going public made no sense to me. Suddenly in the final episode, the heroes want to go public...WTF. There was no set up that was a possibility, maybe with Clare, but not with the others. suddenly they want to go public in the final 10 minutes of the episode.

I agree with you Zeta. What would be nice is to either finish Volume Two correctly and hold off starting Volume 3 until 2 is finished. But that won't happen. Hopefully this ending doesn't damage the Heroes' series.

Re: Heroes Fall Finale

Sad, Heroes would have gone longer and we would had origins if the strike didn't happen. They had to do this ending cuz of the strike.
