what can be played?

Can generated/rendered media be played via snapstream?

i.e. if I create an mpeg in some other program (NLE) can I drop that mpeg into a snapstream video folder and have snapstream play it?

or if I were to take a SS mpeg and edit out parts of the show and re-render it?

yes snapstream will playback any media format it recognises, this includes MPEG2, DIVX, Windows Media video, and MP3. it might also recognise windows media audio but i havent tried it. if you take an mpeg from SS and edit out the commercials and drop it back in snapstream will play the file but the information added to the original file to keep track of episode data (name, description, channel, time/date, episode id (used to prevent duplicate recordings)) will be lost and snapstream will only display the filename of the file.
