Downloading Shows..Sharing Shows.
I wonder if the folks at Snapstream have heard of this technology. Seems a natural fit for building the client into Snapstream for distribution.
Sharing shows that people have recorded. etc. There's a better way than P2P networking. (slow) http://bitconjurer.org/BitTorrent/index.html

the special police groups (read MPAA, etc) would be all over it. it wont ever happen officially. You however can just add your shows to a tracker if you wanted to. In one of your other posts you asked about this and you got the copyright answer. Same here. SS would get their ass handed to them if they did this. Its not worth it.
