New User to SnapStream

Been using the standard TV recording software that came with my ATI TV Wonder for about 6 months now. Works good for what I need. Now it's time for something better...

I'm getting a Hauppauge tonight after work. So obviously I need a PVR software to go with it.

SnapStream looks great but have a few questions.....
1. Any trial version or way I can try the Web Scheduling interface first? ie: snapstream.net
2. In the Live TV it uses the keyboard to select things. Is there a way to make it so you can use the mouse to select things, change channel, etc. I have a wireless RF trackball that I use and don't know about a wireless keybard to go across my room that is about 20 feet from the TV to the sofa/chairs.

Finally, any comparisons between SnapStream and ShowShifter? Other than the snapstream.net capabilities I mean...

yeah there is a trial version go to the snapstream web site and download it, you can even test it with your ati card. please make sure that you use/install the latest drivers for video/chipset/tv tuner device from their manufacturers before attempting to install snapstream. also make sure you have the latest windows/directx patches installed

currently the only supported input methods are keyboard, any remote software that can emulate the keyboard (girder), and those remotes directly supported by snapstream. mouse support is planned but has not been implemented yet
