Question Media MVP and WMV?

The Media MVP looks absolutely perfect for me, except for the fact that it doesn't play back wmv/wma files. That's very important for me, because I've been archiving videos in the wmv format because it's smaller, better quality, much newer, doesn't have problems with finding the right encoder/decoder software, can be streamed over a network, and allows commercials to be losslessly cut out without recompression. Is WMV9/A support planned, either through an update or in a newer model?

Thanks!

What is Media MVP?

BTW, I use WMV for the same reasons as you.

Wow, Hauppauge Media MVP looks like an outstanding product and value. I already chose to place a full-blown PC at my TV, so it's probably not for me, but if it had been available a year ago, I would probably have bought it!

To IGx89: Your question might be better directed to Hauppauge, as it seems to me that SnapStream is just a retailer of it.

Will this fix my "bent" display?

I had posted a question about how my computer screen displays on my TV.

The display is curved on the top and bottom... like an hourglass on it's side.
It was concluded that it was a problem with my particular graphics card.

Here's my post:
http://discuss2.snapstream.com/vb/sh...&threadid=8633

Would the Hauppauge MediaMVP solve this problem? Would I have a more normal Tivo-like display that looks just like my straight cable output?

If so, my order will be made ASAP!
Thanks!

Does anyone know if the MediaMVP will display the Snapstream PVS GUI?

If not, then I guess we can use it to watch LiveTV...

Thanks!

UI

The UI looks very close to myHTPC. Since the box is Linux based, it probably is.

I doubt it allows you to run the snapstream gui.
