Help with tweaks for p3-600

Just wondering if anyone has a similar setup (see sig). I am using the hauppauge/intervideo codec. I am just trying to get it setup as good as possible. I know it can be done, because I tried sagetv with the same codec and computer and I got a near perfect picture.

My biggest problem is when watching football, it gets blurry when alot of action is happening. I am currently trying all different settings, but wodered if anyone had a similar experience.

I don’t know if this setting applies for the pvr-250 but you may want to up the motion precision. (configure -> advanced -> qualities -> edit)

thanx for the reply that seems to work very well. I also have upped the bitstream to 8m and that seems to do pretty well. I believe football is the ultimate test for the video card & processor- a lot of motion.

I was seeing issues with fast moving parts of the picture, even though my bitrate was set high. It seemed to be solved by enabling true-fullscreen, but I have a feeling that won't work with your ati graphics card.
