Lockups with MPEG

I don't really believe this is a SS problem, but I thought I would ask here in hopes someone might have experienced the same thing. Since I have changed my ATI Radeon 7500 to a Nvidia FX 5200 I experience lockups while playing MPEG files created by SS. I am using the latest NVIDIA drivers and VIA Chipset drivers on my mobo. The picture quality difference between the NVIDIA and the Radeon is night and Day. So I definitely want to stick to the NVIDIA. I am using the NVIDIA decoder as well. When a MPEG is playing after anywhere from 10 to 30 minutes the picture will freeze as if you hit pause. I can usually just do a ctrl-alt-del and close the process and restart. Sometimes I have to reboot. It does then in the SS FSUI and in Windoze media player. Anyone got any suggestions.

you might want to try debug view and see if you are getting messages from the nvidia driver about fifo errors, this will cause video lockups and other random problems, it seems to be a problem with hardware conflicts, i get them occasionally and the video will resume after about 30-40 seconds but it continues to playback like the nvdvd codec isnt being used anymore and i have to exit livetv and go back in to get it working again
