FCC Digital TV Plug-n-Play

I'm curious if you all read into this the same way I do.

Does this standard imply, that besides TVs that this technology could be embedded into PC Tuners as well?

not likely as this is a setup already in europe except they use the boxes still as far as I know, and the DVB receivers dont have the ability to handle stuff like that, it would be a pain if they did force it because it would require a butt load of changes and "security" issues

this is going to end up back in the whole debate over whether the user is actually allowed to record the content they watch on tv, with new digital tv specs and stuff like this there is going to be a whole new arena for control and digital ownership problems
