Any alternatives to WMP?

Has anyone used anything other than Windows Media Player with Snapstream? WMP is OK, but I'd like to have something that doesn't drag my system down so much. Also, wouldn't it be nice to have a player that has, say, a built-in 30 second fast-forward for zapping commercials?

Any comments?

If you have an ATI card, use the file player that comes with Multimedia Center 7. It works much better, has a 30 sec skip feature, and you can drag the progress bar on the bottom to any point during the playback and it starts playing right away. This is nice if you start watching a show and come back to finish it later. I have problems with WMP when I try doing that.

Unfortunately, I don't have an ATI card, and I was unable to locate that program on their site.

I like the BSPlayer http://bsplayer.cjb.net/

Not sure how big a load it puts on the cpu, but it runs fine on my duron600.
