adaptec VideOH! - Quality?

Has any one used the Adaptec USB2 capture solution who also has used the PVR-250 with SS (besides the developers?) I am just curious how the picture quality is in comparison to the PVR cards.

Anyone know what chipset the Adaptec uses to encode the video? Does it remain cool while recording (like the IVAC16)?

How reliable is it while recording? Is the USB2 free from latency issues? Is it able to prioritize it's bandwidth over other accessories such as external USB2 hard disks?

I read up on it from the box at the store, but it doesn't address real-world configurations - and I am personally hesitant to put it on an external bus which is shared with my external hard drive. Perhaps those who have tested this device can speak up and give us some insight on how this devices fares against PVR-250?
