setup hangs on setting up capture device

My 3.1 setup always hangs at the dialog box that says setting up capture device. I have an ati aiw9700 in xp. The card captures fine with other software.

This happens with me as well. You can cancel the setup wizard and manually set up you capture device through the web admin
