When will HDTV be supported?

Snapstream Media,

Do you have plans to support the available HDTV TV tuner boards now on the market? HDTV tuner boards like the myHD have become very popular among those on hometheater web sites and forums (www.avsforum.com). The best-selling HDTV PC tuner card is the myHD-100, just recently replaced by the new myHD-120:

http://www.digitalconnection.com/Pro...deo/mdp120.asp

The above product provides a a software program guide for viewing and scheduled recording using XMLTV information from TitanTV, but it is nowhere near as user-friendly or functional as the Snapstream software. If Snapstream can't use the MP@HL decoder on-board this product, product it could still provide HDTV support in software. The less expensive DVicon Fusion HDTV PC tuner board doesn't even have a built-in MP@HL decoder; it uses a software decoder with DxVA support. They are planning a new card to support unencrypted HDTV from cable (QAM) this a summer.

Thanks,
Ken

The holy grail for me is a HDTV PVR equivalent to a dual tuner tivo. There are a lot of local HDTV channels and a PVR that allows recording of 2 channels at once is a no brainer.

CineVidia - are you using digital cable?

I have mine working. Although my picture looks much better with Dvico's software.
