Bug report for 3.0 RC1

I installed RC1 and immediately had problems. The sound is extremely distorted when watching Live TV. Also there seems to be no way to manually setup my remote. This is a bad thing as RC1 seems VERY sensitive. I have to be incredibly quick with the buttons as pressing on them normally will result in the software thinking I have pressed the button multiple times.

(These are just the first issues I've seen as I've done less than 5 min of testing)

Also, are these known problems? Are there fixes for these?
Sadly I have no access to the beta section (even though I have a beta build downloaded from beta-news)

System Specs:
Epox 8K7A+
AMD Athlon 1.2GHz @ 1.433GHz
512MB 2400 DDR
ATI AIW 8500DV (with remote wonder)
Catalyst 3.4 drivers with remote wonder 1.5 drivers

EDIT: What is the procedure for gaining access to the beta forums?

Some users have reported "Tiny" Audio. One Reported changing audio settings from the default 48000 hz setting to 44100 hz fixed their problem. You may also want to try switching from MIC to LineIn or vice versa depending on which jack you are using. I believe Snapstream is making a correlation between integrated audio (audio on your motherboard) and this issue, but I am not sure.

I am confident they are working on this. So much has been fixed so far - Including most all issues present in 2.0

If your noise seems to be distorted in the sense of skipping, try a lower recording rate. Watching Live TV is in a sense recording, showing you the output, and then forgetting about it (unless timeshifting is on)

The ATI remote support is fairly new. Does it seem like you are experiencing "Double" keypresses? I believe this is a known issue. There may even be a fix for it, but since I do not use a remote, I do not have the file offhand

Thanks for the responce. Since it wasn't in the beta forum I wasn't sure if I would get one. I will try the settings you mention.
I also plan on switching my sound card (currently stuck using onboard).

And yes, it is the double keystroke thing for the remote. Glad to know that they are aware of it so it can be fixed.

I think it is a matter of getting updated software to fix double keypresses. Are you using streamzap remote?

Nope, I'm using the remote (Remote Wonder) that comes with the newer AIW wonder cards.

I'm experiencing the StreamZap issue

My remote is a streamzap and I'm experiencing the "double" press issue when in full screen mode.

I email streamzap support and haven't yet heard back from them.

What's the driver version that's support for StreamZap?

thanks

I think it's more of a problem with the RC1 than any remote software/drivers.

I have the ATI remote, and now a StreamZap remote both experiencing the same problem.

Thumbs up Thank you. Feel better?

I really appreciate your posting. Makes me feeling better knowing that I'm not alone. Snapstream hopefully is working closely with StreamZap .

Maybe the next version will have this resolved. Does anyone need any more info regarding this condition?
