Question SnapStream and XBox

I just wanted to know if anyone was using SS PVS with a modded XBox running XBox Media Player ?

I am just modding my first XBox to run XBMP and wanted to use SS PVS to record shows and serve them to the XBox.

Has anyone tried this ?

I also wonder if anyone as thought/tried about running a version of PVS on a modded XBox. Once the XBox mod community get a good handle on using USB based tuners/PVRs, you could potentially use an XBox as a PVS client (watching live TV, pausing live TV, etc.) and let the heavy work get done by a "more" powerful "server" PVS to do the recording/encoding.

Any thought ??? Any suggestions for my own setup ?

it is in the works... I had talked to the devs of xbmp a while ago, and they are working on it slowly after fixing bugs, etc.

I personally use xbmp to watch my ss recordings though...

the real issue with xbmplayer and snapstream is not xbmplayer or snapstream, but the quality of the wm9 (if u are using 9) codecs that are used in xbmplayer. I think the dlls are from an build older than the lastest wm9 codecs.

but, the xbmplayer and my snapstream server talk well to one another.

Do you mean watching saved recordings or can you watch live tv on it?

I watch the saved MPEG2 recordings with mine, but I had to put a wired connection in because wireless was not enough bandwidth for high bitrate MPEG2 (done with the PVR-250 card).
