how may stream can be served at once and other questions

I need a Standard Operating Specification on the snapstream boxes I set up including the size of the streams(Quality Dual ISDN) and how many are configured to serve at once. I also need to know whether we can limit the number of streams we're serving at once, how granular the logging on this box is and how it's stored.

My concern is that enough of these streams being viewed at once from outside the building could seriously impact the performance of our connectivity to the outside world. Internally, we could also be looking at some performance issues on the network if enough people are watching at once, though that's less of a concern.

Multiple streams can be served at once. As far as numbers, the load goes up exponentially with each client and your results will depend entirely on what your hardware, drivers, network infrastructure, recording quality, what you consider to be "rough", and other factors. It's a $50 program. It's not made to serve multimedia to 30 client machines at once. Can it serve one person, yes, two, maybe can handle two, 30, I think it'll choke.

Thanks for your reply. I realize that it is a $50 program. I just have to justify the potential impact on our network to the IT Guy. I sent the address to 5 people and I noticed that I started to get an error from Media player the the stream was not available. So it does appear to be self limiting.

Thanks again for your coments.
