dss.dll with USB to Serial adapter??
I have a good line on some inexpensive PCs with DVD and Video out. I'm hoping to use them for DSS and snapstream. Only problem for me is they don't have serial ports, and only 1 pci slot. Has anyone tried to use dss.dll serial tuner with a USB to Serial adapter?

well, that's going to depend on how well the USB to serial adapter emulates a serial port. All my DLL does is look for a standard Serial port connected to a DSS. If it finds one all is good. I'm pretty sure that if the driver software does a decent job of emulating a COM port, it will work just fine.
