I don't think you'll find a dedicated TV Receiver card with a Video OUT port. Think about it--you'd be using the receiver card to send a signal out to a normal TV...which already has its OWN receiver. What's the point?

If you're wanting to display content recorded with SnapStream on a TV, then you need a VIDEO CARD (nVidia, Matrox, etc.) with a Video Out port. That would enable you essentially use your TV as a secondary PC montior. Watching SS encoded programming on the TV would then be as simple as running the show on Media Player in Full screen mode.

Hope this helps.

Thanks for the info. I was mainly using the tv out for watching recorded shows and movies. I was trying to avoid buying another ATI AIW card since they seem to have problems with snapstream.

Another point, I sometimes watch tv through the tuner on my other pc to use the time shifting feature of the ATI AIW card.

Unless you're locked into a single-card solution, there's no reason why you couldn't buy a Hauppauge tuner card and a separate video card with the video out connector. I've got a generic video card with the nVidia chipset and think it's great.

As an alternative to the ATI combo cards, I believe Matrox has one of their own. Don't know a thing about the quality or performance with SnapStream, but it's worth looking in to.

I have one.
The TV out quality is great. It also has this neat mode of sending video to the TV out port in full screen while it is playing in a normal media player window. Very convienent.

However, I have not gotten it to work with SS encoder yet. The matrox video capture drivers work with other programs but not SS. But to be fair, I haven't exhausted all settings. I was lazy and grabbed my hauppauge TV card and stuck that in my computer. It works good now.
If I get some time I'm going to try the
matrox card with the SS encoder again. I post again if I get it to work. But the
TV out features and quality are excellent.

Thanks for the info, I am ordering it today. I have an older Millenium G200/Rainbow runner I used with snapstream fine after playing with the settings. I remember I had to gobackto media encoder 4.1 for it to work.
