Question Streaming video over the internet

My work just put me on night work on Satuday nights and Sunday nights. This means that I now miss both boxing and wrestling PPVs.

Now what I need to know is can I stream the shows over the net and access them on my works PC?

Another question is can I buffer the video since my upload is capped at 15k/s? I'm on cable at work.

Thanks guys!

This is really dependent upon the network setup you have both at home and at work. At home, you'll need to make sure that if you've got a firewall, you have the proper ports open to your network.

1755 - Recorded Content Streaming
8192 - Web Server
8080 - Live Recording Stream

You can adjust the buffering settings in Windows Media Player under tools->options->performance (network buffering).

If you record your videos at very high quality, you may also want to transcode them to a lower quality for viewing at work -> possibly using the provided single channel isdn setting. (due to the limited transmission speed of your home network). Alternatively, you could transcode to a setting not quite as low and tweak the buffering.
