I'm not sure if I understand your question entirely, but I think I get what you're driving at. With a home network, you will be able to watch programs that have been recorded by the main DSS receiver and your snapstream box. If you want to watch different channels in realtime on multiple systems in your home, then yes, you will need multiple receivers, a programmed card for each receiver, and a monthly fee of 4.95 to DirecTV for each additional receiver...
