Does Beyond TV support the AVerMedia AVerTVHD Duet A188 ???
Newegg has this new dual ATSC/QAM tuner for $60!
I don't see it on the list of officially supported cards, but the A180 has long been on that list. Any chance this will be supported by Beyond TV? It is currently supported in every version of Media Center (even Windows 7) and SageTV.

Re: Does Beyond TV support the AVerMedia AVerTVHD Duet A188 ???
There are reviews on there from people successfully using it with Sage, WMC and BeyondTV. Looks promising. If I didn't already have my HDHRs, I would probably prefer an internal card and less cable mess

Re: Does Beyond TV support the AVerMedia AVerTVHD Duet A188 ???
I think the key question is whether it uses BDA drivers. if so, it should be 'ok' for ATSC. QAM is another matter.
anyone know if these use BDA drivers? I'm taking a chance on this since I suspect BDA is a requirement for the various Media Center products.

Re: Does Beyond TV support the AVerMedia AVerTVHD Duet A188 ???
rule of thumb seems reasonable. Duet does give two OTA HD tuners for BTV, they seem to work quite well for me. in fact, better than the vbox usb tuner.

Post Transition today, I found that this Duet picked up my CBS station that jumped down to VHF (channel 12) whereas my HVR-1800 was not able to receive it. It is curious, but at least I have all my stations.
In a digital world, a dual-digital tuner card wth no analog 'trappings' deserves to be inexpensive. I'm glad I got one of these! nrf

Re: Does Beyond TV support the AVerMedia AVerTVHD Duet A188 ???
I was able to pick a pair of these up recently as part of a Dell Deal where AR they cost me $80 or so for the pair. I was curious if Snapstream ever added Qam support for these or if they planned to?

Re: Does Beyond TV support the AVerMedia AVerTVHD Duet A188 ???
Anyone here got the Avermedia Duet to work with QAM?
I can't get it to work with Beyond TV 4.9.2, but works great with MCE. During setup no QAM tuners are show. Shows up fine in device manager, and as stated it works great with Win7 Media Center. If not has the HVR-2250 been reletively trouble free for BTV? Thanks

The only trouble I've had no trouble with my 2250 was when I rescanned channels and pointed both sources to the same "half" of the dual tuner card. That resulted in lots of error messages about the tuner being in use. Otherwise, it is a great card.
