BTV Remote Video Issues Vista 64bit

Everything seems to work perfectly except one thing. When I display the playback on my HD TV (via any video output choice) the BTV Window shows up, when the navigation tools are showing top or bottom they show up, the audio shows up, but the actual video itself never shows up. Have tried everything I can think of without any success.

I think I know it's a BTV issue because when I play movies with Power DVD they play just fine.

If you have any ideas I'd be deeply appreciative.

Re: BTV Remote Video Issues Vista 64bit

Are you using your TV as your primary monitor?

Are you using overlay to display video?

What video card are you using?

Older video cards don't clone the overlay on secondary monitors. If none of that applies, post your system specs so we might be able to tell where the problem is.

Re: BTV Remote Video Issues Vista 64bit

In a dual monitor configuration where you're using clone mode, video will not be displayed on the secondary monitor. This is not BTV's fault; it's a shortcoming in any video card prior to the GeForce 8000 line. ATI cards have an option to clone the overlay.

Depending on the version, PowerDVD may be showing video on both monitors because it doesn't always use the overlay.

The short-term fix is to use 3D mode. (This is in Settings->Playback settings.) You can also use the nVidia control panel to set your TV as the primary monitor. This won't show overlay video on your other monitor, but it will allow you to see TV on your TV.

If the TV is your only monitor, you may have another problem. Give us more details about your system: motherboard, OS, video card, etc.
