Mike,
Yes, it can. You can (if you have) use the S-video/composite (composite is the samething as RCA) output of the VCR and plug it into the S-video/composite inputs on the TV tuner card in your PC. You then take the audio output of the VCR and plug it into the "Line in" on your sound card in your PC.
If you use either of the above, you need to (in SnapStream) got to "Configure" -> "Video Sources" -> "Edit" (your TV card) -> "Direct Show Video Input" Change this to either S-Video or Composite (depending on the one you actually used to connec the VCR to the TV tuner)

OR

Take a coax cable and connect it to "TV OUT" (on the VCR). Take the other end and plug it into the coax input on you TV tuner card in your PC. You would then need to connect a jumper from the "Line out" of the TV tuner card to the "Line in" of your sound card.
If you use the above method, you need to (in SnapStream)got to "Configure" -> "Video Sources" -> "Edit" (your TV card) -> "Direct Show Video Input" Change this to "video tuner"

(NOTE: Coax is ok but, you will get a better picture if you use Composite (RCA) connections or an even better picture if you use S-video connections. Also, your recordings will depend on how well the VCR recorded the show you want to transfer to your computer.)

Sincerely,
PAtrick

Patrick,

Thanks for getting back to me so quickly, my follow-on question is this:

Once the VHS tapes have been copied will your product convert them to digital and what do you recommend for editing digital frames, I need to add/delete/clean-up some frames and add sound.

Thanks,

Mike

The act of capturing video into a computer is "converting to digital."

What exactly do you mean?

i recommend using Windows Movie Marker. ( it comes with Win XP/ME) other than that you can use any 3rd party editing software.
