windows media encoder 9

Hi TUCK!! WASSUP BUDDY!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR TO THE SNAPSTREAM FAMILY.

ok ive been in these forums before extoling the virtues of "pulling the rabbit out of my hat" with my ge 4 ti 4600 card and snapstream.

both work wonderfully hand in hand .

heres my latest query:

i see that windows media player 9 and also encoder 9 is out.

btw media player 9 roks !! dolby stereo 5.1 woot !!

should i install encoder 9?

im using the snapstream version 2 lite.

im betting since encoder 9 is new that your answer will probably be "no"

but before i take the bite and install encoder 9 id like to hear what you guys have to say.

i cant say enough good things about snapstream.

it has the best video quality ive ever been able to achieve
on my computer.

it even captures better than the newest windows movie maker update.

movie maker gets me video capture yes, but the video has artifacts out the yin yang.

and ya im a total noob and i dont completely understand what im doing at times .

but for me snapstream is the best!

( i wonder how SS 3.0 will do for me, ***ponders purchase )

OH QUESTION #2: when adding ports to my firewall,

should it be OUTGOING or INCOMING? or BOTH?

and do i add em to TCP/IP or UDP?

i use NEOWATCH 2.4

Heres the pic so you get a better idea.

(okay for some reason i cant post the image directly here so i made an album just for you Tuck !!)

my firewall config screen

ive only been computing for 2 years so go easy on me ...lol

i could goof around but id really like to hear it from you first.

and how do i allow, say, my mother to watch videos of my kids?

step 1: record video with snapstream

step 2 ?? what then?

im lost , lol i rely on your good nature Tuck, please help me out.

thank you buddy
