Question Info about 3.0

"Full Screen Interface - Record and then replay your favorite shows on the big screen TV. "

What?? That's it??
How come there's hardly any info at all about the "coming shortly" 3.0 version?

Give me tons of screenshots of the different views of the "Full Screen Interface"

Give me details about the "Integrated Program Guide" - Does it work outside of US?

Having a website that is so badly updated and contain so little information is bad P.R, imho ....

Full Screen interface: You want to know what it looks like? Go look at a TIVO interface. It's almost the same. You have a main menu where you can see your recorded shows, see upcoming recordings, and see a built in look tv guide. From the guide you can choose to watch the current program or record the or future program. You can also pause live TV and record live TV. Like I said go look at a TIVO and you will get the idea of the full screen interface.

(Everything you can do in the web interface, except settings, can be done in full screen on a TV. Think of how Microsoft is doing it with there Windows XP Media Edition.)

Everything is working. About the only thing that doesn't is what they call TrickPlay which allows you to rewind and fast forward, etc.

to be realistic, my bet is that it'll be at least 2 more months based on their currently released beta.

2 months what the hell when I bought snapstream about 3 months ago it was a month I'am feeling totally ripped off. I've asked a bunch of times to get in on the beta and get no response I think this whole thing is a joke

Well, I'd suggest sending them another email concerning the beta, as they've been great about getting people on the 3.0 beta program. They're probably within 2 weeks of releasing the next beta, so I'd suggest waiting for that (beta 4) before installing it.

Concerning timing of their final release, I started a big uproar in the beta forums immediately after they posted the December release date press release. The latest beta at that time was still very immature and was seemingly far from a final release. Their statement was a blatant lie then, as it still is now. However, snapstream is a great product, and if patience is one of your virtues, you'll get a great product in the end. Their programmers are of very high skill, but because they're a very small company, things take a LONG time to complete and work all the bugs out. The final Snapstream 3.0 has a feature list that makes all others look feeble. No other PVR app has the diversity of web/streaming capabilities, combined with full featured local Tivo-like abilities.

go here , enter the email address that you used when you bought PVS 2.0, and it will forward your details for the beta automatically within a minute or two.
