Generally the best tuners to use are those bundled with the software in the snapstream online store.
The WinTV PCI board (internal) or the USB WinTV (external) - The WinTV PCI will allow you to record at higher quality level etc.... The USB WinTV will allow you to connect to a device that does not have PCI slots -- such as a laptop, etc... In either case, the Hauppauge cards have been around and used with PVS long enough to have the kinks worked out of them.
