Comcast Chicago - New HD channel - SciFi

Comcast in Chicagoland, and maybe else where, has added SciFi HD (ch 177). Unfortunately, Snapstream, SchedulesDirect nor Zap2It have this channel added to their guides.

How long does it usually take to see the providers update their lineups?

Open a support ticket with them. They were pretty quick to work on a guide issue when I had one some time back.

Re: Comcast Chicago - New HD channel - SciFi

What resolution is the SciFi HD Channel? 420p? 720p? 1080i? 1080p?

Oh, and to be sure, is this a High-Def Version of the SciFi Channel that has Stargate: Atlantis?

Is it unencrypted (can your HDHR tune it and record it)?
If so, you might be able to just set up the HDHR lineup to the SD SciFi Channel.
That is, if it does have the same lineup as the SD Version...

I'll get back to you on the resolution as I didn't check when I tuned it with the cable box.

It is encrypted, so the HDHR, or any other qam tuner will not get it.

It is the same lineup as the SD channel. So SG Atlantis would be in HD.

I get very good results recording the s-video out of the comcast HD box into the pvr-250.

I did submit a support ticket to get it checked for snapstream.net
