The answer is Yes, with a couple of caveats
- You can only stream wma, not mp3. - You can only stream from your primary store as far as I can tell. The files may be subdirectories of your primary. - Enter in your browser the following: mms://your.server.address/songfilename.wma or mms://your.server.address/folder_under_primary/songfilename.wma and it should stream your music just fine. In order to get access to your music from a remote copy of Windows Media Player, you'll need to export a playlist of, either some or all, of your music. You'll get a file called foo.asx. Open up foo.asx in notepad or wordpad and do a find-replace for YourDrive:\PrimaryStoreDir and replace with mms://your.server.address e.g.: C:\Program Files\Snapstream PVS\Shows with mms://192.168.122.4 This should replace all the Ref tags in the playlist with the server address. now you can take the playlist with you and stream music from home to work with PVS. I tested this under 1.5. P.S. I still can not stream either video or audio to PocketPC or PocketPC2002. [This message has been edited by Conrad (edited 02-23-2002).] |
