A few question for someone that's going to buy
I just bought a system for recording TV and got it setup, it’s a 1.6/256/80Gig and I got a ATI Radeon 7500. The software that comes with the ATI sucks, so I started looking around and found this. From all I’ve read it looks great just what I want as far as streaming over the network, being able to remotely set up recording times etc… I just have a couple of questions before I get it
1. Will this work well with the ATI 7500? (In ver 3 will I be able to watch the show live as it’s recording etc.) 2. It seams like with ver 3 you’re going to be pushing the .net thing, will there still be as much or more features as ver 2 as far as TV listings and setting up record jobs etc? And other then recording all of your favorite show with one click what other advantages will it have? 3. If I buy v2 now will I get a free upgrade to v3? 4. With v2 or v3 will I be able to record a show and stream that same show over the network? 5. From what I understand v2 only will capture in windows media formats. Will v3 allow for capturing to MPEG formats of any kind? (One use I need this for is to capture something I want to keep for divxing later) 6. Last one how does the streaming work? Is it a unicast stream or multicast stream? Can more then one person watch over the network? Thanks for your time |
