Hello All

Question: When will this software support Divx and all other codecs???

I have just downloaded tvtonic from hauppauge's website and immediately it works, and i can choose from all the system installed codecs - so for example i chose divx5 for video and mp3 for sound.

Why can i not do this here? I have read a few posts about it is coming - i just dont get it though - SURELY TO GOD snapstream are not building into the application a specific codec support i.e. adding in JUST divx.

At the very least Mr Snapstream LOOK AT THIS PRODUCT - they let the user choose from all the availabel codecs they have installed on the OS - this is a far better answer - and allows choice, and configurationto be done by the end user.

Also no issues with supporting Divx6 or whatever comes next.

seeing as divx is not a streaming format as of yet, i can't see how they could have anything other than re-encodes after the fact which should be easy to do. besides the fact that divx takes way more processing power to encode in realtime than Microsoft's WMV format...

festivalman - download tvtonic and try it - i usee an athlon XP 1000 and was able to watch and record to divx at the same time, while still running outlook, explorer, the internet, etc , etc, etc, with no nitcable affect
