Firewire Mits Net Command

Is anyone familiar with Mitsubishi's net command?

I have a Mits WS55859 with built in HDTV Tuner and Net Command. Net Command allows connection of FireWire IEEE 1394 devices. My question is does anyone know if this includes my PC. If I have a TV Tuner PC card (looking at Telemann HiPix DTV-200 ) can I connect my PC to Net Command and view what I watch and record from the Tuner Card? Or do I need to use the VGA connector on the back of my MITS?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I may be wrong... but I'm not aware of a way to output the video signal from your computer via fire wire -- so you shouldn't be able to hook up your pc in this manner. Generally, you will have to connect the video card svideo or composite out directly to the television inputs. In your case, the HiPix DTV-200 has a VGA out capability which will allow you to display the pc desktop on the TV. This more than likely is the most suitable option for you -- just make sure you use a well shielded VGA cable if you have to make the length very great.

-- HiPix DTV-200 -- Have no idea whether or not this works with snapstream.... If there are WDM drivers it might or should.

Thanks MATTS. I was not sure if you could use FireWire like USB and have a Firewire Monitor?

I am hoping that someone will test the HiPIX soon with Snapstream, I read a post from someone who has on on order and is going to test it out. I look forward to hearing how they make out.

Thanks.

Yes -- If you find out it works before we do -- it would be great to let us know.
