Settings for DVD quality?

I am using the "near dvd" settings, and although the picture looks nice in the window, when I make it full screen th e picture gets dull.
I have a dedicated P4 1.8
and fuile size is not an issue to me.

How can I get DVD quality, I'm able to get it when I use my Pinnacle capture cards software, but not in snapstream
t

The problem is that SnapStream encodes using windows media encoder, which is HIGHLY processor intensive....

your PCTV software more than likely encodes in mpeg2 -- large files size -- but the recording quality will more than likely be better on lower end computers.

-- If you are using 2.0, you'll have to create a custom quality -- but try setting the bitrate to 3000000 -- not too much higher, you can try different rates until your CPU can't handle it. Also, changing your input and output to 640x480 on the custom quality will help get rid of some blur as well.
