Problems/solutions on connectinga PC to HDTV

I'm still looking for a HDTV (approx 70" or more) for my BTV with minimal over/under scan. I came across this article which describle the problem with overscan. Might be helpful to most.

I am finding more tv with PC input but they underscan the image to fit on the screen. I wonder why PC video manufacture make it more easier for connecting to the TV. My Xbox 360 works well filling up the whole screen. What am I missing?

You are missing that the xbox360 overscans too and you just don't notice because they are smarter about it. They make sure that critical items (the hud in shooters etc) are set up not to be out of the picture. In windows though, the start button is always going to be a little obscured by overscan.

The key is that television manufacturers need to start making tvs that auto adjust the way that LCD computer monitors do.
