Will I lose any of my channels after going to BTV?

I currently have:

Comcast basic cable in atlanta - 40 analog
Antenna in attic - 40 more, many in high def
Qam in plasma gets pay per view access.

I'm ready to begin the dive, but will I lose any of this?

Re: Will I lose any of my channels after going to BTV?

With a tuner that gets both ota antenna and s-video (or composite in) you will keep all your basic and antenna channels. I have no idea what you mean about the qam in your plasma, I assume you are using a stb to access pay per view channels. In that case, you may not have the same access to those, but the HDHR will access free (unencrypted) qam channels.

I'm almost completely unfamiliar with what qam does. The only thing I know is that I can turn to channel 87 and it scans 87-2 through 87-11 and usually picks up some ppv movie that someone on the cable network has paid for.

IF that is the case then I would assume that the HDHomerun would pick these up as well. Other tuners can pick up Qam but BTV does not support them for qam yet, it does support the HDHR. You won't know for sure until you try, and if nothing else, those channels may be for your tv only.
