Directx10 coming to "everyone"

99% working = NOT working.

in any case, I don't have a need for Directx10.

while what you say is true the same was said about uae in it's early days. now it is very reliable emulator. so while it might be 100% now just give it a little time and it will be. i guess microsoft don't scare people like they used to.

While I am sure one can write an emulator for DirectX10, the fact that it is not 100% means it never will be.

(With the proper tools a DirectX10 emulator that is 100% correct takes under one man-week to write. A couple man-months to optimize.)

if you knew exactly what was going on under the hood i would agree. since we don't you can only get close to 100% functionality since there is always going to be a few obscure actions that you won't know about til later or it might be a known action that behaves differently under a specific circumstance.

anyway i don't know how long it will take to make it to 100%. it might not ever but i believe that it will get close enough that it don't matter.

only reason i would upgrade to it at this moment is b/c of Halo 2 for the PC....damn u MS for making for Vista only!
