Post Remote Viewing

Anyone have any luck viewing remotely with a good reliable connection. I can view remotely but when I go to watch a recording it takes more time to connect and load the buffer then actually watch. I have tried moving the record quality down but still no better. I'm running cable at home and using a dial-up connection to view remotely. Any suggestion or comments would be great.

What quality are you recording at? It needs to be no higher than the profile indicated for your modem speed, so if your modem is 56K, you'd need to record using the 56K or the 28.8K modem profiles. If your modem connects at less than 56K, or if your ISP is overloaded, you'll have to use the 28.8K quality profile, or create a custom profile suitable for a slower speed.

With my cable, Near VHS is about the highest you can go. Most cable modems don't have very good upload speed. Probably the dual channel ISDN setting would be your best choice.

Terminal, note that Sully is using a dial-up connection to view the shows, so even ISDN speed would probably be too fast.
