Can SnapStream "pool" tuner cards?

I'm seriously considering using SnapStream in my home network, but have a few concerns/questions that I haven't seen addressed anywhere yet. I plan to set up a server with multiple TV tuner cards in it and use it to serve video to any computer in the house. What I'm concerned about is when a recording "job" is set up, can SnapStream take any available card to do it or is the card assigned at the same time as the job. If the latter, what happens if someone is watching live tv on that card and then the time for the job to start arrives? I'm seriously hoping that it can pool the card resources.

Not yet. There was a Master/Server feture in snapstream that was never developed so it was removed. I allowed you to setup server computers each with it's own tuner card and a snapstream slave installed on it. It would recieve commands from the master snapstream server. The master would be the machine you scheduled shows on. And if you wanted to record a show on two different channels at the same time it would dispatch the conflicting show to the slave. Good in theory, terrible in implementation. They may give it a shot again.

So my best then is to "assign" each family member a card, or something like that? I'd still prefer to have all of the cards in one machine - it saves me running coax to the different rooms (my network is wireless).

Capturing with multiple devices is hard to do with software capturing. Since the cpu is put under a huge load just with one recording multiple recordings on one machine would be overkill. A solution to this would be hardware compression which SSW doesn't use. Also I've done some experimenting and capturing while another card is watching TV on the same machine will produce a "cannot draw filter graph" or "cannot produce directdraw preview" or someother error (I forgot which.)

What about one card recording while other cards simply pass off live TV? That would probably fit my needs.
