Post Patch for PocketPC Viewing

There has always been a problem watching other stores on a PocketPC. A while ago someone posted a different version of mediaplayer that seemed to fix the problem.

I need to re-install that version and don't have the website. Does someone still have it around.

Thanks,
Brian

Not sure that I understand your problem. But MS Tech Preview 2 was the first version os Media Player to work with the Pocket PC and Snapstream.

Media Player 8 works great too.

I think they mean tech preview 2, it works better for viewing via streaming from the server and WM8 works fine if you transfer the file over to the PocketPC.

Not sure what you guys mean about tech preview. The problem I am refering to is when I try to stream things to my pocket PC (2000). The process begins when I record things at a near VHS mode (in the primary store) and have them transcribed to a lower quality (in my pocketpc store).

Since I have a pocketpc 2000, I have to use WMP7.1 because WMP8 isn't available. When I click on the mpg file that appears in the pocketpc store, I always seem to end up with the higher quality version in the primary store. Which doesn't stream all that well.

Awhile ago someone posted a site that had an older version of WMP that seemed to solve this problem. I would appreciate it if anyone could recommend a viewer (for pocketpc 2000) that streams correctly because I really can't use snapstream on the pocketpc anymore. (Downloading requires too much space and I have a casio and can't upgrade to pocketpc 2002.)

Thanks in advance,
Brian
