HD Recording?
I am considering buying Beyond TV and a new TV Tuner, since I'm very interested in being able to record HDTV shows. I know that the ATSC card will allow me to record HD over the air...
My question is: Will the Beyond TV software + DVICO FusionHDTV5 RT Gold TV Tuner allow me to record HDTV via cable as well as over the air? Thank you, Brian

BTV supports only OTA HD recording. The Divco card is QAM enabled so with the Divco software you can record unecrypted digital digital (including HD) signals. These are basically the same ones that are available OTA.

keep in mind this is a software encoding card...ie will really load down your processor while recording (or watching liveTV for that matter, since its always recording). if you just get one DVICO card, you can only record from OTA OR cable anyway... I have a DVICO lite and a Haupauuge 150 and I am VERY happy (for cable + OTA)
