CW Network & BTV Guide

Forgive me if this has been posted. I searched but nothing came up.

Since WB/UPN merged to the CW Network my BTV guide doesn't list them anymore and shows up now in the guide as "unavailable". I have to set up manual recordings.

I own MCE 2005 and it shows the CW network in the guide for my area.

Is there anything I do to get it to recognize that it's the CW network in the BTV guide? Email someone? I've redownloaded the guide in hopes that it would pick it up from wherever it comes from with the new channel ID and nothing.

Re: CW Network & BTV Guide

try going through setup again. remove your lineup delete the lineup and then re-create the lineup.

Re: CW Network & BTV Guide

sevenwind,

I do not think it is a BTV issue. My local crappy moronic idiotic foolish selfish money-grubbing cable company (aka Time Warner) still has not reached an agreement with the CW network and thus Time Warner does not offer the channel. Your local cable monopoly may be doing the same thing. Check google to see if your cable company is carrying the channel yet.

As you can tell, I have some latent daddy/cable co. issues

Re: CW Network & BTV Guide

This is still bugging the hell out of me! I ran the wizard on snapstreams page to see if it updated the channel to show it as the CW. NOPE. Still KTXSDT2, and all the time slots say unavailable.

So, I went to tvguide.com, zap2it.com and put in my zipcode. Put in the cable provider and what do you know, it shows up as the CW and it lists the shows on the channel and list everything.

PLEASE for the love of god fix this, it is a royal pain in the booty to have to set up manual recordings. Yeah I'm lazy! But I want things to work!

Re: CW Network & BTV Guide

I had a similar problem and went to my snapstream.net account and deleted the lineup and put in my zip code and let it get all of the stations and there was my new stations I was missing. I then done a manual guide download and then I had the new channels on the guide.

Re: CW Network & BTV Guide

Thanks Doubledose and blitzkrg! I did the snapstream.net thing and it worked. Now Veronica Mars will have a name instead of VM1 VM2 VM3 from manual recordings. Many thanks!
