Motorola DCT2224 Serial port and Comcast

Has anyone had any luck getting this to work? I spent over an hour on the phone talking to three different people at Comcast about this. I told them I needed it turned on for my TIVO so it could change the STB's channels for recording different shows. First person said she was told by her supervisor that they would not turn it on. And even if they would they did not now how to do it. So I called back to talk to someone at the Help Desk and got pretty much the same response as from the first person. He did how ever suggest that I get the TIVO type service they supply. Then later on said that well if you wait a deal is in the works with TIVO and Comcast or some such. So after awhile of this I asked to talk to his supervisor who told me the port was in fact turned on. I told him what the other person said and he was like well we will have to let him know that it is on. The supervisor said that they could send a tech out to look at it. Which I declined as they would see it was in fact a HTPC that I wanted to hock up to the port. I ended up telling the guy that I basically thought that they were ripeing me off by not letting me utilze the service the way I wanted to. And that I payed alot of money for it and thought they should do what I wanted. Well rather long winded but what does everyone else think?
