Multi Zone solution?

I love snapstream's BTV and BM. The dvd plugin really is great!

Anyway this question is more geared to Music and whole house audio.

I will be purchasing a Russound CAM6.6 amp. 6 sources 6 Zones.

James River Media Center is able to output to multiple zone if the computer has multiple sound cards, mine does.

Does BM have anything like this?

I know there is a JRMC plug in out there, but that just integrates the JRMC to BM. is there strictly a BM plug in? if not how hard is there to make one. Also JRMC outputs metadata from the computer com port to the RS232 port on the amp and then it is displayed to the keypads on the amp.

I know I am asking alot, but let me know if you have a solution. Thanks.

Anyone who has whole house audio, feel free to chime in and let me know your setup.

Have you seen this?

I guess it's a different system but it might still work.

yes I did see that. I like the fact that JRMC uses multiple zones and outputs to the keypads. That is what I was wondering existed for BM.

I don't understand why you would want to run BM too then? JRMC should do everything you need.

BM has the dvdlibrary plug in I like. That is the sole reason I use BM like alot of other people here.

JRMC does not have that, nothing close.

Ok, I don't understand your question then. I thought you were just talking about audio as it seems your system doesn't support video? I don't know of any software that does multizone video.

Sorry, it makes sense in my head.

Yes, I just need multizone audio, not video. The russound CAM is audio only.

I guess I am asking someone to make a plugin for BM audio that is able to support Zones. Like JRMC, but until then I will use JRMC for that. Maybe I will make a request.

Re: Multi Zone solution?

I would compare 6 LCDs and 6 Media MVPs against the price of that Rivers media. There is no way I would go back into that distributed audio stoneage.

The squeezebox is another possiblity.

There is no reason to be input limited, especially to a number like 6.
