Who has the biggest online movie collection?

I'm currenly looking at getting a "movie" server set up to hold > 1000 movies. Someone I know is closing down their video store and will have a lot of movies but doesn't want the hassle of trying to find a movie when they want to watch it. I'm thinking BM and a JBOD setup but I would like to know how large some people's projects are and how they deal with so many of them.

So is there a 2 Tb limit on Windows for drive size? I thought I read it somewhere.

Do you get any lag going through the DVD library with so many movies?

Use the number buttons on the remote to jump around in the list.

I seem to remember a 2TB maximum filesize under NTFS - not certain though. Storing your DVD ISOs/VOBs on a non-NTFS fileserver (NAS, Samba-on-Linux, etc) would work around that limitation.

Unless you're using Windows Server 2003 SP1 where you can use guid partition tables, then yes, there is an NTFS limit to 2TB volumes.
