Re: Website for cataloging downloads, knowledge, tutorials etc.
UPDATE!!!
Thanks to a bunch of help from cfaslave, the site is up and public! You can sign up, post downloads, journals, reviews, editorials, etc. Currently if you post an upload, you will have to link to it in another location. When I approve the submission I will mirror the link and it will be downloadable directly from the site. This way you can submit a file using a free file host or link to the file directly from the manufacturer. When I approve the file, it will automatically become mirrored locally. I am altering a PHP-Nuke upload module to fit the requirements of the file posting system. This way immediate uploads can either be linked by the user, or be uploaded from the users' PC to the site. I think having a choice between the two will make the system very versatile. I am looking for a few forums experts to help me build a diverse FAQ to cover problems and solutions which we encounter on the forums frequently. If anyone is interested in helping to post HTPC/SnapStream related news, I could also use a helper in that area. On that same note, if anyone knows how to create PHP-Nuke skins so that we can get a BTV themed skin for the site I would appreciate it. Users can also send in product reviews, news and anything else they think we need. I will be adding a chat module soon and we will see how that goes. As long as things don't get out of control we can use it to help each other troubleshoot in realtime. That way we don't have to worry about working between different IM clients. I may also enable the encyclopedia feature to allow people to add terms and definitions to help the newbies out. I am still working a bit on the images and content, but people are welcome to help out wherever possible. If anyone has any comments or recommendations I would appreciate them. Constructive criticism is always appreciated as well! http://www.beyondhtpc.com

I think Craig (ccnb) hacked the site to put that in...either that or I'm starting to sound like him
![]() Fixed it

Re: Website for cataloging downloads, knowledge, tutorials etc.
I've seen that page several times and never even noticed the spelling error - goes to show how good my proofing skills are
![]() I think there are a few skin and BTV add-on's to be added to the download page, but all of the working ones should be there soon. I think the Beyond Media plugin list is complete, but let Clamsthecat or I know if you notice any BM plugins missing.

Re: Website for cataloging downloads, knowledge, tutorials etc.
You mean it really was a spelling error?

Re: Website for cataloging downloads, knowledge, tutorials etc.
Yeah it was a spelling error. For some reason the news poster uses a rich test formatter (like the these forums) and it won't utilize Firefox's spell checker.
