Red face 4.3 Beyond TV / ACTISYS200L/ DISH322

I have this equipment already purchased and have been trying to get it working for days. Beyond TV sees the ACTISYS and programs from the remote fine but will not transmit to change the channels. I have read a bunch of forums on this problem with HeRemote being the solution since 2005. I have even downloaded the file and tried to install only to have problems. No support on the HeRemote site and I don't even know if it will work with 4.3 since the last thread was posted over a year. I have read a person using a palm pilot and saying it can be done. Would anybody have the code for the DISH322 so I can overwrite the RMT file? Is that possible? I see a TVR file...perhaps the older code. I have even cut and paste the TVR to the RMT being used now. I am at a loss and need some help in the right direction. Any help appreciated. Thanks

I use the Actisys200L/HeRemote setup with BTV v4.3 and it works fine.

Although, Beyond TV now supports IR blasters natively without the use of software like HeRemote. This option has been available since BTV release 3.5 I think. The only reason I still use HeRemote is because I set it up way back when with BTV v3.3 and have been to lazy to change it.

I would try and rerun the Beyond TV setup wizard first. Specify your IR blaster and try and train it.

If you unable to get it to work and still want to try HeRemote do the following:

You have to train your Dish remote to the Actisys200L using HeRemote first. Instructions on HeRemote's website.

Once trained and tested follow these steps:
1)Copy the HERemoteTuner.dll from the HE Remote directory to the:
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application Data\SnapStream\Beyond TV\tuner directory.

2)Restart SnapStream so it looks in the tuner directory and finds the HERemoteTuner.dll.

3)Then go to SnapStream's Web Admin page and click the 'Settings' link.

4)Click the 'Audio and Video Inputs' link

5)Click then 'Edit Settings' link on your tuner.

6)In the External Tuning Interface section select the 'HE Remote Tuner' from the drop down list.

Now change channels in Beyond TV and the Actisys200L should change the channel on your Dish box.

Re: 4.3 Beyond TV / ACTISYS200L/ DISH322

i have tried reinstalling the actisys and still no luck. I don't think they fixed the problem with dishnetwork receivers. I even tried putting the actisys 6 inches away from the receiver with no luck. I have installed the actisys in hardware then disabled it. i uninstalled it and tried it. i have just about exhausted every possiblity i have read. I am coming to the conclusion that they don't and won't support it. The messed up thing is that the actisys seems to go through the training process and works until it has to send the signal. I bought 2 of these to experiment with and they seem to be junk (at least with beyond tv and the dish). Will somebody inform me how to get heremote to actually work because the installation page instructions are not working for me. When I get to heremote exe the Run-time error 339 happens with the statement MSCOMM32.OCX or one of its dependencies not correctly registered:file missing or invalid. ANy help is appreciated

I would uninstall HeRemote entirely. Then reboot and reinstall HeRemote.

Click the 'ActiSys 200L' link on the 'getting started' menu on the following link:

http://www.tvscheduler.net/HERemoteTopics/

Follow those instructions carefully and see if it works...
