Channel recording but I change it and it records other channel??

I have a dual tuner and I go to the guide to record channel 82 HBO which it does but when I change the channel to 70 YES it records the YES channel instead of recording channel 82 as I watch 70. What am I doing wrong Thanks

I see what I did wrong......My cable bo x is on 82 and recording HBO. My firefly remote I use to change a channel to something I like to watch as that is recording. 2 questions. Can I record one show in digital and watch another show in digital? Also why on my channel guide I get for instance the same channel 1 with unavailable and the other with the show etc. like it will list HBO 82 Star Wars and under that it will list HBO 82 Unavailable. Also when I use the firefly remote to watch a show as I record a show in digital (82) everything is unavailable as far as what is on. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

Sounds like you have both tuners using the same digital lineup, instead of having the analog tuner using the basic cable lineup or such, and the tuner connected to the cable box using the premium lineup or such...

I thought I had it correct. I just had the digital tuner setup first then I did the analog. I guess I will try to do it again and see what happens thanks

I am guessing the channel guide should show only one set of channels which is how I know it was installed correctly? but will I be able to record 1 show in digital and watch a show on a digital channel at the same time? That is the reason why I wanted a dual tuner but I understand one tuner records analog and one digital so I guess if I record a digital channel then I can watch a analog channel while that is recording. Can someone clarify Thanks

Since you only have one digital tuner (your cable box), where would that second digital channel come from?

So then it's correct that if I am recording a digital channel I can only watch that digital channel or an analog channel as that is recording and vice versa. So my setup is correct I just need to fix why the Guide shows the channels twice like HBO 82 with a description and under it HBO 82 unavailable.
